The NBA trade deadline is drawing near and teams are scrambling to make moves before the clock strikes midnight on February 8th. With so many options, it’s hard to predict which players will be traded and where they’ll end up. That said, here is a list of 10 players that could be traded before the deadline and their top destinations.
The nba players trade rumors is a topic that always seems to be in the news. Some of these top 10 NBA players could be traded before the season starts. If they are, where would their new team want them?
Despite the fact that the regular season is just a month away, clubs still have time to create an impression. Even though the offseason is almost done, it doesn’t mean that every team’s most speculated player is safe. A trade, as we all know, may happen at any moment. You are never safe if you are circulating in the rumor mill.
These ten players have been circulating around the rumor mill since the start of last season. These players managed to stay with their club throughout the year, even after the trade deadline passed. These ten players may still be on the move as the offseason draws to a close.
Zach LaVine (#10)
Possible Destinations: Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets
Given the Bulls’ free agency signings of Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan, LaVine remains in the bottom tier of these rankings. LaVine, on the other hand, will remain the focus of trade speculations until he signs a contract extension with the Bulls. LaVine recently completed an All-Star season and has one year remaining on his contract. On what the new agreement should be, the two parties are at odds.
If the Bulls are unable to reach a deal, the Philadelphia 76ers are one club that would welcome his shooting. Tobias Harris may be traded to enable LaVine to play the two-guard position with Ben Simmons. The Nuggets, however, are missing Jamal Murray and may seek to trade him in order to win now with Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Zach LaVine.
Bradley Beal (nine)
Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets are two possible destinations.
Beal is another guy who can’t seem to stay out of the news. Beal’s contract with Washington is up in a year. Despite the fact that the Wizards dealt Russell Westbrook for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell, Beal will be referred to be a trade candidate until he signs a contract extension.
The Miami Heat have been linked to a deal for Beal for quite some time. Tyler Herro and a package focused on him might be enough to capture the league’s scoring runner-up. In the East, Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal, and Bam Adebayo would be a difficult trio to defeat. Denver’s rationale is identical to LaVine’s, and the Nuggets have a valuable young component in Michael Porter Jr. who they might trade.
Marcus Smart, No. 8
Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks are two possible destinations.
Smart just extended his deal with the Boston Celtics, but he remains an important part of any big trade package that might net the Celtics a third superstar to complement Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Smart is one of the league’s best two-way players and would help any club looking to make a postseason run.
This would enable the Mavericks to pay Kristaps Porzingis’ contract to the Celtics. Porzingis has been connected to the Celtics since his days with the New York Knicks. Karl-Anthony Towns, another center, has also been connected to Boston. To get any of the superstars, Smart would have to be included in either deal.
Buddy Hield (#7)

Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks are two possible destinations.
Hield does not fit in with Luke Walton’s Sacramento strategy. Hield’s productivity has dropped in each of Walton’s two seasons with the Kings. Prior to Walton, Hield was a 20-point per game scorer in this league who dominated from beyond the arc.
The Los Angeles Lakers are one club that could use more outside shooting. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Kyle Kuzma, the team’s top two three-point shooters, were moved. The Lakers would get a genuine outside shooter in Hield. The Buddy Hield-Trae Young connection at Oklahoma would shine on the floor for Atlanta.
Andrew Wiggins, No. 6
Sports Network (CBS)
Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves are two possible destinations.
Wiggins is another player who can’t seem to stay out of the news. We frequently forget that Wiggins is still with the Warriors since they have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The Warriors may create a deal with Wiggins and emerging prospects James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga to get a fourth superstar to join Kevin Durant’s squad three years ago.
Bradley Beal or Karl-Anthony Towns would be the focus of the package this time. Wiseman and Kuminga are solid blocks to combine with Anthony Edwards, thus the Timberwolves are the most probable trade partner at this stage. Curry, Thompson, Green, and Towns have the potential to return the Warriors to the NBA Finals.
Pascal Siakam, No. 5

Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors are two possible destinations.
Regardless of what the rumors indicate, Siakam’s time in Toronto has to be coming to an end. With Siakam and Fred VanVleet at the helm, the Toronto Raptors aren’t contenders. To retain the role players in town, the team compensated. After all, they were instrumental in Toronto’s first title.
Siakam, on the other hand, is a No. 2 or No. 3 choice. To complement Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, the Trail Blazers need a genuine No. 3 player. Siakam may be the missing piece for Portland to go over the hump, but it would require a lot of salary reorganization. The Warriors are an intriguing match, but it would need Toronto acquiring Wiggins. However, with Wiseman and Kuminga behind Scottie Barnes, the Raptors would have a promising future to build on.
Myles Turner is number four.
Headlines That Hook’em –
New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors are two possible destinations.
The Pacers are a puzzle because, on paper, they have all of the parts, yet they don’t seem to be good enough. Both the Knicks and the Warriors could offer the Pacers a good deal in exchange. A deal including Mitchell Robinson, Immanuel Quickley, and selections might be enough for the Knicks. That would provide a real foundation for the league-leading defense from last season.
The Pacers and Warriors may have the greatest overall agreement, with both sides pleased. The Pacers would be able to rebuild with a younger core if Wiseman was traded. Turner’s addition would provide the Warriors with a win-now veteran. Turner would be an excellent match for the Warriors, who are in desperate need of a real rim protector. For what both clubs desire to achieve, this deal would be more than fair.
Ben Simmons is number three.

Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors are two possible destinations.
Simmons seemed to be on his way out of Philadelphia after the 76ers were ousted from the playoffs. Instead, we sit and wait. We then sat and waited some more. Now that the season is set to begin, Simmons is still a member of the squad. As a result, we shouldn’t put our faith in Simmons joining the 76ers until he actually begins his first game. Simmons has been widely speculated to be on his way out due to his offensive problems.
Simmons has also been a key player in the Damian Lillard deal with the TrailBlazers. The 76ers are a contender with Lillard and Joel Embiid. For Portland, it provides a real cornerstone player for new head coach Chauncey Billups to build around. Now that Kyle Lowry has joined Miami, the Raptors are without a point guard. Simmons and Pascal Siakam may form a competitive dynamic combination to help speed up the reconstruction.
CJ McCollum (#2)
Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers are two possible destinations.
McCollum’s name has also been mentioned in relation to Simmons. Lillard and McCollum have only been in one Conference Finals and have never made it to the NBA Finals. Despite being paid like an All-Star, McCollum has yet to appear in an All-Star Game. This partnership seems to be coming to an end.
Even if Lillard does not join the 76ers, Simmons might join Portland. The 76ers would be a fantastic match for McCollum. McCollum just finished a season in which he shot 40.2 percent from outside the arc. Despite Simmons finishing second in the league for Defensive Player of the Year, the 76ers were not a top defensive team. The 76ers would benefit from losing Simmons’ defense in exchange for McCollum’s scoring.
John Wall is number one.

Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers are two possible destinations.
It’s one of those situations where we know John Wall will not play for the Houston Rockets next season 99.9% of the time. The question now is for whom he will play. The Los Angeles Clippers are the leading club vying for his services. Because the Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard due to a broken ACL this season, the club has been attempting to acquire components to surround Paul George in order to keep the team competitive.
Eric Bledsoe was acquired from the Grizzlies. The addition of Wall would create a situation in which the two might fight for the starting position. Regardless, having Wall and Bledsoe on the squad, who were teammates at Kentucky, adds depth and allows Wall to compete. Wall would be the ideal backup for Simmons on the 76ers. Wall can compensate for Simmons’ offensive shortcomings with the second unit.
