Today, Dauntless is releasing a new patch that brings with it a few new features. First, there’s the new Hunting Ground. This is a new temporary combat zone that’s available for a limited time, and it provides players with an easy way to obtain unique equipment for Dauntless. Secondly, there are the new Hunt Passes, which are new special daily quests. Finally, there are several new passive skills that are being added to the game, which are designed to help players improve their gameplay.
The latest update for Dauntless is now available on the App Store, and includes the usual host of bug fixes, balance tweaks, and game tweaks. The new Hunting Grounds are: – Ripped From the Headlines – The Void – The Grand Temple – The Forest – The Sandbox – The City of Illusions – The Pillar – The Lost City of Aeon – The Outcast Outpost – The Refuge – The Trench – The Underhill – The Whispering Fens – The Dregs – The Flooded Forest – The Deep Jungle – The Deep Ocean – The Flooded Forest (Night) – The Flooded Forest (Day
Dauntless is a free-to-play action role-playing shooter from developer Phoenix Labs. In Dauntless, you play as explorers from across the galaxy, exploring dangerous territories together in search of rare resources and deadly creatures. You’ll also be able to build relationships with the various Dauntless Hunters you encounter, earning new consumables and equipment as you progress through the game.
As a long-time Dauntless player, I’ve always found the ranged repeaters to be one of the game’s most disappointing weapons; blasting monsters with a pair of pistols should have been fun, but their modular construction and poor damage output made them a disappointment. So consider myself (and maybe other Slayers) interested by the next update, which will include, among other things, a weapon upgrade.
The weapon’s damage has been improved; the weapon’s camera has been adjusted to include more zoom; and the aiming reticle has been tweaked to better communicate the various ranges the weapon works in, wheth the devs at Phoenix Labs wrote an entire post about the weapon rework, but in short, the modular crafting design has been replaced with standardized crafting, just like other weapons; the damage of the repeaters has been improved; the weapon’s camera has been adjusted to include more zoom; and
Obviously, this patch contains much more than just improved pistols, since it also introduces the Blazeworks, a new Hunting Ground that promises formidable enemies, “twisted mysteries,” and two new island events. A new Tempest Omnicell, the new Ostigaard Justice Hunt Pass, and other new and returning items in the Reward Cache are also included in the patch. The complete patch notes include all of the information.

The best thing about Dauntless is that its free-to-play, but the game’s developers won’t be happy until you’re playing for keeps. The more you play, the more resources you earn, and the farther you get in the game. As you go deeper, more resources become available to you, but more challenging enemies will also appear. On the flip side, you’ll earn more resources if you win over the game’s more challenging enemies. Resources are used to buy gear, weapons, and power-ups, so they’re an important part of the game..
